Whats Goin' on IMVU? Vol. 2 [3-02-09]

Yo. Was meaning to do this every weekend, but this weekend was a lil' busy. That may happen a few times where I can't/won't do it every weekend on the dot. I got shit to do (yeah, I do).

First off: Say Yes to Posing + NEW

I actually had modeled some of HipHop's latest pose pack last week but I had to respect his wishes and not leak or show anyone the poses until they was out public. They look hot (nothin new there). He got a lot of dope products poppin' for both male and female products, so check him out by clicking on his avatar name on the first sentence. Picture below (PS: my avatar is not that smooth).

Also, it features a new tee and fitted by yours truely hitting PR this weekend. Jeans are old jeans by yours truely (you can find them in the catalog here) and Supra kicks by Dontrez101.

Second off: Duplicate Products

If you are a developer (especially a developer who makes urban products), you know how annoying it gets to see a product you are making or a product you have already made and had out being made by some other developer. Believe it or not, I often get that happening to me alot.

I have faced facts that this element is going to be a factor as long as developers take others ideas; whether taken from real life designers or other IMVU developers. I do not get pissed or mad or upset 99.9% of the time. It makes sense because many urban developers get their "ideas" from the same source. No sh*t if everyone gets their stuff from tne same place, we are going to create duplicates. I am not simple minded enough to take it as a direct attack. What I do is move on and find something else (if someone made something I was making). There is enough credits floating around for everyone to make money w/o needing to copy another developers formula.

The one exception I have ever made to what I just said is a certian person who I once was friends with. This one person was cool enough to the point where I showed that person exclusive sh*t I had not even dropped. That person was really feeling one out of the pack of products. That person decided to make that product a month later and had the nerve to use my name in their product tags. Notice I don't name names, thats not what I do.

For the record: I only approve/understand people using my names if I modeled for them or in some way helped them directly develop that product. "Seis1" is not at all a common tag so if somene tells you it was an accident, they are lying. SoVeryNiah, my wife, has exclusive rights to use my name on anything and everything she pleases because we often talk and help eachother out with things pertaining to developing on IMVU. If you see anyone else using my name and I am not in the pictures modeling, they are perpitrating.

Third off: Badge Delay

Before I was planning on having a badge done and made by last week. Due to unseen circumstances, I sold the credits that were meant to go to making a badge. SO, I started back at 0cr in the middle of last week. But there is some good news: I am already in position to make a badge within the next few days (if I do not sell my credits). Expect to see a seis1 badge coming soon! Hopefully I will be able to find a decent self-serve badge script because I know people with badges to give get swamped in messages daily.

One thing I hope that my badge will accomplish is advertizing. I am afraid badges are more like Pokemon than they are bilboards. Meaning: people collect hundreds of badges just to say they have them. You cannot fit 800 badges on that little badge board. So hundreds of people who may have given you their badge out of the desire to be seen will not have that objective met. I may do something where I don't give out badges to everyone that has over X ammount of badges. May not care, I dunno just a thought.

My mindset is: I am using $46 (I can sell 100,000cr for $46) to create a tiny bilboard that may not even be public.
